Evolution has brought us to this point: the Reaction Hybrid SL redefines 29er hybrid mountain bikes. Blending the range of Bosch’s biggest capacity battery with the power of its fourth-generation CX drive unit and Nyon controller, this is a bike for explorers and adventurers. Sram’s wide-ranging NX Eagle 1×12 transmission gives you the range you need to tackle any route, while Magura four-piston hydaulic disc calipers front and rear serve up huge reserves of stopping power. The e-bike approved, RockShox Recon air fork has 120mm of bump-swallowing travel. Where will it take you next weekend?
A high-performance e-mtb demands a high-performance frame. With the Reaction Hybrid SL Cube started with their Modular Battery System, fully enclosing the high-capacity Bosch unit in the down tube. They also added a Boost rear end, for efficient power transfer. A 1.5in head tube, for accurate steering. Agile Ride Geometry, for safe, lively and intuitive handling. Internal cable routing for low maintenance and high performance – including provision for a stealth dropper post upgrade. Tested the frame for a 150kg total weight. And finished off, of course, with Bosch’s sublime fourth-generation drive unit, for smooth pedal assistance, mile after mile and trail after trail. There’s even a trapeze frame option…
